A 19 year old man that Turnor Lake/Birch Narrows RCMP were looking for in an investigation into an assault with serious injuries has been located and arrested. Friday afternoon, officers were told of a serious assault and determined a male youth had been assaulted by a man with a knife on Birch Narrows Dene Nation.
The youth was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Christian Desjardin is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and uttering threats.
He is scheduled to appear in court in La Loche on Monday.
