Saskatchewan RCMP Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team say two people who were wanted, have been arrested and one turned himself in.
WEST says with Colton Swiftwolfe and Wionna Katcheech were located and arrested last Tuesday while Alex Gopher turned himself in the next day.
The three were wanted in connection to a violent assault and death of 22-year-old Quin Squair of Wilkie. On April 18th, officers were alerted of an assault at a home on the Saulteaux First Nation, and when they arrived, found Squair with serious injuries. He was transported to hospital in Saskatoon by EMS. The next day, investigators were told he wouldn’t survive and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes then took charge of the investigation. Squair died April 22.
Five people have been charged with second degree murder. Twenty-six-year-old Riley Gopher and a 17-year-old from the Saulteaux First Nation are also facing a robbery charge. They were arrested that same day. The youth has two other charges including disguise with intent and unlawful confinement.
