The City of Saskatoon is getting its spring cleaning done. City and contractor crews are sweeping priority streets and residential street sweeping will begin next week. Work has also begun on repairing potholes and renewing the line markings.
The City says in a release that crews are beginning with potholes in driving lines on the high-traffic priority streets. Because it is warmer, the temporary cold-mix filled potholes will now be permanently repaired with the hot-mix asphalt. Line painting crews are painting about 800 kilometres of lane lines and 1,200 crosswalks, and this is done two to three times a year, depending on weather or durability. A reminder, there is a report a pothole interactive map if you would like to report one. Click here for the map orĀ or call the Customer Care Centre.
