Mental health is a huge issue in communities all across the province. To raise money for mental health programs in Saskatchewan, the 5th Annual Cameco Step Up for Mental Health Run and Walk is now open for registration. Cameco Vice President Jonathan Huntington says every cent of each registration fee goes directly towards charity and not-for-profit programs and the amount will be matched by Cameco.
There are several additions to the event this year, including the opportunity to walk or run 21.1km and a change in the course beginning at Prairieland Park downhill into downtown. Some newly designed merchandise will also be gifted to runners who register, such as a shirt, hoodie, backpack and medal at the finish line.
This year, Cameco has three new partners including New Balance, one of the biggest running shoe brands in the world, as well as FFUN Group, and WBM. Until the end of May, registration fees are decreased to just $50 plus tax and fees, and runners can sign up at stepup@sk.ca.
