Saskatoon Police Service investigators are holding out hope that members of the public may be able to help them solve the homicide of Hughie James Assiniboine (pictured), which happened exactly 17 years ago on Friday.
In the afternoon of May 5, 2006, police and paramedics found 23-year-old Hughie James Assiniboine deceased in the 1600 block of 22nd Street West. An autopsy later confirmed he was the victim of a homicide. This historical homicide investigation remains open with no suspects having been arrested.
On the 17th anniversary of the case, the S-P-S has renewed its request for public assistance, asking anyone with relevant in formation that could help solve the case to contact the Saskatoon Police Service directly at 306-975-8300 or by calling Crime Stoppers.
