On Friday afternoon, Regina Police dispatched officers to a break and enter call.  The call came in at 1:15 p.m. and when officers arrived in the 2100 block of Hamilton Street the door wasn’t secured and it swung open when they knocked.

Greeting them on the other side was a man sitting in a chair with a sawed off shotgun at his feet.  He was taken into custody without incident and when police searched the area they also found a homemade slam gun next to where the suspect had been sitting. Both guns were loaded.

Thirty-two year old Jordan Thomas McNabb was arrested.  Police say he was arrested on a Firearms Prohibition and was Unlawfully at Large.  He is in Regina Provincial Court Monday to face eight weapons related charges. A slam gun is gun made from available materials and not made by a firearms manufacturer or gunsmith.
