It is similar to incidents back in January, when several seniors were called and told someone in their family requires money for an emergency.

Another senior received a call on Monday and was convinced to provide the money.

Fortunately, a tip from the public led police to a hotel in the 400 block of 20th Street East. The 20-year-old man has been charged with fraud over $5,000.

Police are continuing their investigation and want to hear from anyone who may have been the victim of fraud. The number is (306) 975-8300.
