Bishop Murray High School in Saskatoon is one of ten schools which have won $15,000 from Mosaic to support student nutrition.
The annual Mosaic School Nutrition Challenge has reached 103 schools to date.
Mosaic spokesperson, Sarah Fedorchuk says this year project funding was increased by $5,000 to $15,000 to reflect rising costs and greater needs.
The grant for Bishop Murray High School will go toward building outdoor gathering spaces, implementing a reconciliation project and providing Indigenous Knowledge Transfer.
Fedorchuk says the grants support projects that have goals including implementing or expanding nutrition programs, enhancing kitchen and garden facilities, increasing educational opportunities for students and families, and supporting reconciliation and cultural projects.
