One of the two youths charged with attempted murder in connection to a Meadow Lake RCMP investigation of a serious assault on Flying Dust First Nation on Tuesday, May 16th has been located.

Officers responded to a shooting at a home on the First Nation about 2:30 that morning and found a man suffering from what were described as serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police were told two males approached the home. There was an altercation and a firearm was discharged, injuring the victim, and then the youth fled.

On Monday, RCMP located and arrested one of the youths in that city. The other youth is still at large. Neither youth has been identified, as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
