Between the Saskatchewan Coroners Service (S-C-S) and the Saskatchewan R-C-M-P’s Historical Case Unit (H-C-U), the human remains of an adult male who had been deceased for about 10 years have been identified.

The family of Randy Wallace George have been notified. His death is not considered to be suspicious in nature. The S-C-S conducted a forensic autopsy last month with the H-C-U comparing the details from the autopsy to missing person files from the area in that time range. Earlier this month, a familial D-N-A comparison and analysis was completed and determined the remains belong to Randy Wallace George. He had been reported missing to Pierceland R-C-M-P on Big Island Lake Cree Territory on July 11, 2013. He was 38-years old at the time.
