There was a garage fire in Saskatoon on Tuesday morning that the fire investigator has deemed suspicious. The call came in at 6:10 a.m. regarding a garage on fire off the alley behind Stanley Place. Flames were visible when fire crews arrived and the fire was brought under control in 10 minutes.

The property had been closed for occupancy by the Saskatoon Fire Department on January 17, 2023. The house and garage were vacant and secured at the time of this fire. Repair orders were issued by the SFD at the time of the closure.

The fire originated on the exterior of the garage along the overhead door. Damage is estimated at $10,000 and Saskatoon Police are now proceeding with the investigation.
