Construction begins this week on the new Weyburn General Hospital. Rural and Remote Health Minister Everett Hindley says it will include an Emergency Medical Services garage and a heliport. Twenty-five acute care beds and a ten-bed mental health in-patient unit will be transferred into the hospital from Tatagwa View. The new facility will replace the existing Weyburn General Hospital, which will be demolished once construction is complete. It is expected construction will be done by December of 2025.
