SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA load in Saskatoon’s wastewater has increased by 115.0 per cent. The value is based on averages of three individual daily measurements in the latest reporting period compared to the weekly average of the previous weeks. Despite the significant increases, it is still considered low because it is below the low level recorded by researchers at the University of Saskatchewan for Saskatoon.
Prince Albert has seen a 250.4 per cent increase in COVID-19 in wastewater while North Battleford has seen an increase of 97.3 per cent. While increases were recorded in both cities, the viral RNA load in those two communities is considered to be increasing but still categorized as low.
