Free, rapid access counselling for children and youth has now expanded to include Regina and Saskatoon, with new annual funding from the province to Family Services Saskatchewan announced today (Wed) of $1.7 million.

Executive Director of Family Service Saskatoon and Chair of Family Service Saskatchewan, Janine Bauman, says this is a significant step forward, allowing them to better serve the needs of children, youth and caregivers with timely and accessible mental health support. A news release from the provincial government says at least thirteen communities across the province now have this service, and more will be announced in the coming weeks. The province is providing Family Service Saskatchewan with a total of more than $3.2 million to provide the service for children and youth.
