The Royal Canadian Air Force has issued a statement saying an allegation of sexual misconduct has been made against a member of 431 Squadron.
The 431 Air Demonstration Squadron is the Snowbirds based at 15 Wing Moose Jaw.
While the investigation proceeds, the RCAF says the member facing allegations has been reassigned to non-operational duties at 15 Wing Moose Jaw. And, as a result of this investigation, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds will perform air displays as an eight-aircraft team for the foreseeable future.
The Snowbirds, are scheduled to do a three-to-five-minute fly-over of Saskatoon on Thursday, July 27th.
Brian Swidrovich appeared before council last week to inform them of the event and says the Snowbirds will be appearing on behalf of Saskatoon Crime Stoppers. They will conduct a series of aerial tribute passes throughout Saskatoon’s airspace in recognition of all who contribute to a healthier and safer community.
