A kayak has been recovered from Little Manitou Lake, but the man who was in the kayak is still missing according to Watrous RCMP.

The adult male told family members Monday morning at about 10 a.m. that he was going kayaking on Little Manitou Lake, but didn’t return as expected. The family notified Watrous RCMP at about 6 p.m. Monday night.

A water and shore search has been on-going since then with area residents, the Humboldt Fire Department, the Saskatoon Police Service’s Air Support Unit and the Civilian Air Search and Rescue Association assisting the Watrous RCMP.

There is an increased police presence on Little Manitou Lake and surrounding area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Watrous RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
