The Saskatoon Police Service says Patrol Officers and Animal Control Officers responded to several calls Wednesday afternoon about a dog at large in the 2700 block of 33rd St. West.

The dog bit two children aged 5 and 13 and attacked at least two adults who were trying to help the children.

Police say the dog was later located and safely taken under control by Animal Control Officers.

The two children were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries consistent with dog bites.
