You may see Matthew Dickson cycling down Highway 11 leaving from Aylesbury on the way to Regina in his coast to coast trek to raise awareness about mental health. Because he himself lives with Schizophrenia, he encourages people to donate to their provincial Schizophrenia society. He has links directly to the provincial entities on his own website
Dickson says he noticed, while managing Schizophrenia himself, the lack of mental health supports for those in developing countries so he wants to raise awareness about that need. He says the webpage actually contains curated information that can be used as tools to combat mental health issues in parts of the world where they just don’t have those supports. And Dickson says if you see him cycling he’d appreciate a honk and a wave. After he reaches Regina, he heads east down the Trans-Canada Highway.
