A man was arrested after driving into a camper-trailer with his truck and then proceeding to discharge a firearm at it.
At 3:45am on Friday, Milestone RCMP received a report of an assault in Briercrest. Through investigation, police determined a man rammed an occupied camper-trailer with a truck before shooting a gun at it. A man, the only occupant of the camper, and his dog were injured. The man reported non-life-threatening injuries to police and the dog received veterinary care.
As a result, Milestone RCMP arrested a man in Claybank at approximately 11:10 a.m. the same day.
Forty-nine-year-old Chad Ferreira is facing five charges, and he is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on September 13.
His charges include
– one count, discharge a firearm with intent, Section 244, Criminal Code;
– one count, assault with a weapon, Section 267(a), Criminal Code;
– one count, uttering threats, Section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code;
– one count, mischief over $5,000, Section 430(4), Criminal Code;
– one count, causing an animal to suffer, Section 445(1), Criminal Code.
