Update: 62-year-old man charged with second degree murder.

Saskatoon Police say they are investigating the city’s seventh homicide of 2023. At 4:59 p.m. on Thursday, officers were dispatched to a call at a home in the 800block of 10th Street East. When officers arrived, they found a deceased 63-year-old woman. RCMP assisted in making an arrest. A 62-year-old man was arrested in Mistusinne.

Police say the death is being treated as a homicide and that the suspect and the victim were known to each other. Major Crime and Forensic Identification members are currently investigating. Mistusinne is about 140 kilometres south of Saskatoon on Lake Diefenbaker.
