The number of wildfires in Saskatchewan has risen significantly. The numbers have been around the 30 mark but today’s (Sun) report from the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency cites 44 wildfires. Seven are contained, six are not contained. Twenty-two wildfires are being monitored and infrastructure like cabins and power lines are being protected at nine others. There have been 334 fires this year while the five-year average is 291.
