A stolen 2012 black Cadillac Escalade SUV may have an armed suspect inside with Melfort RCMP looking for the public’s help with any sightings of the vehicle.
It was reported stolen from Prince Albert at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and has a Saskatchewan license plate 190 MVF. While not able to be confirmed, preliminary investigation determined the thief may be armed. As of now, the location and destination of black 2012 Cadillac Escalade SUV is not known with Melfort RCMP advising the public to report any sightings by calling 911, but not to approach the vehicle. Initially, Melfort RCMP placed a hold-and-secure in the James Smith Cree Nation and surrounding communities as a precaution, but have since lifted it. They have conducted proactive patrols in those areas with officers continuing to provide regular updates to the leadership in the James Smith Cree Nation as the investigation continues.
