Saskatchewan Major Crimes confirms that 38-year-old Teddy Whitehead from Pelican Lake First Nation was a victim of a homicide. On July 15th, just before 6 p.m., Spiritwood RCMP and EMS responded to a report of an assault at a home on Witchekan Lake First Nation. He was declared dead on the scene and his death was considered to be suspicious.

Two men, 35-year-old Chase Cardinal from Vilna, Alberta and 32-year-old Nathaniel Sakebow from Witchekan Lake First Nation are charged with manslaughter. Cardinal was arrested without incident in Spiritwood today (Wed). An arrest warrant has been issued for Sakebow. He is about 5’8″ and 235 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
