Saskatchewan RCMP are looking for the public’s assistance with any personal home video surveillance and door camera footage in and around the 600 block of 8th Avenue in Nipawin after a late Tuesday, early Wednesday shooting of a 44-year-old man at a residence in that location.
Police are looking for video between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 1:30 a.m. Wednesday to see if there is any suspicious activity, people or vehicles on or near the 600 block of 8th Avenue. Nipawin RCMP responded to the residence and found the victim, who was transported to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital and has not been identified. The suspect, who is unknown, entered the residence and shot the man, then fled on foot in an unknown direction. It is not known if they had access to a vehicle. Nipawin RCMP, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes and Tisdale RCMP Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate, but anyone with a tip or information is asked to call their nearest police service, RCMP detachment or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
