Saskatoon Police say three people have been arrested after a man was robbed, unlawfully confined and assaulted. Around 2:45 this morning (Thurs), officers were called to a business in the 1400 block of Idylwyld Drive North after a man asked staff for help.
The 42-year-old man told police he had been at a business in the 100 block of 33rd Street West around 11 Wednesday night when he was approached by a woman asking for a ride. He took her to 36th Street West and was then assaulted by a group of people, robbed, and taken to an address in the 1500 block of Avenue F North where he was unlawfully confined. The investigation led police to Westview Place where suspects were seen approaching the victim’s stolen vehicle.
They were arrested and police say when searching them, the remainder of the victim’s stolen property was found, as well as meth and cocaine. Two women, 34 and 31 years old and a 26-year-old man are facing robbery, unlawful confinement and assault charges and the 31-year-old is also charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
