Technology turned out to be a boon for police but not so much for a suspect in a stolen vehicle investigation. Prince Albert Police say shortly after 1 this morning (Tues), officers responded to a call about a vehicle that had recently been stolen.
Officers learned the vehicle had the OnStar system, so they were able to locate it and disable it. Police report that once the vehicle was no longer operable, a 20 year old man fled on foot, but with help from a police dog team, he was apprehended. He is charged with vehicle theft, driving while being pursued by police and dangerous driving.
