The driver alleged responsible for causing a collision resulting in death on Highway 10 has been arrested. On June 15 of last year at 11:30 p.m., White Butte RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway #10, approximately 10 kilometres north of Balgonie. A car with one occupant collided with a vehicle with four occupants, and the 25-year-old woman in the passenger seat was declared deceased at the scene.
The rest of the passengers were treated for injuries ranging from minor to serious. Through a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist and in consultation with Crown Prosecution, the solo man driving the car was arrested in Wolseley on August 9th. Twenty-two-year-old Brayden Veilleaux from Balgonie is facing charges of operation of a conveyance while impaired causing death and operation of a conveyance while impaired causing bodily harm. He appeared in Regina Provincial Court last Thursday.
