Saskatchewan’s wholesale trade in June had a year-over-year growth of 70.5 per cent compared to June of 2022 for a total of $7.2 billion in wholesale trade this past June. The provincial government highlights these numbers from Statistics Canada in a news release.
However, Statistics Canada crunches the numbers differently, reporting that wholesale sales in Saskatchewan decreased by 15.7 per cent to $3 billion in June. Across the country, sales fell 2.8 per cent, but Statistics Canada excludes petroleum, petroleum products and other hydrocarbons and also excludes oilseed and grain.
