The Prince Albert Raiders have added a goaltender and a 20-year-old in one veteran W-H-L player.
P-A picked up Chase Coward from Red Deer for a conditional fifth round pick in the 2024 W-H-L Prospects Draft. Coward joins 19-year-old veteran Max Hildebrand in the Raiders’ crease and is a second 20-year-old on the roster along with last season’s leading goal and points scorer Sloan Stanick. The Prince Albert Raiders have acquired 2003-born goaltender Chase Coward from the Red Deer Rebels in exchange for a conditional fifth round pick in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.
A product of Swift Current, SK, Coward signed with the Rebels as a free agent in November of 2019. In 45 career games with Red Deer, he posted a 25-23-2-2 record, along with a 2.66 GAA and a .904 SV%. In 10 career playoff games, the netminder has a 4-5-1-0 record, with a 2.65 GAA and a .910 SV%.
