Former Saskatchewan Brier skip and three-time Canadian Mixed Curling champion Larry McGrath (pictured) has passed away following a short battle with cancer.

He was 83. McGrath skipped his team to a runner-up finish in the 1974 Brier in London, Ontario. A Dodsland product, McGrath also skipped Saskatchewan teams to the 1967, 68 and 71 Canadian Mixed titles. Those teams were inducted into, both, the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame and the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.
