With many people expected to travel over the weekend, the province reminds drivers to be on the lookout for highway construction zones. In a news release, the Ministry of Highways says unfortunately this summer, there have been numerous incidents involving Ministry staff and contractors in work zones. Minister Lori Carr says, “These collisions cause injuries and damage to equipment. The men and women who build our highways are our friends, family and neighbours and we want to make sure they get home safely at the end of the day.” Put down your phone, follow the signs and flaggers, and slow down.
