The Saskatoon Police Service says a head on crash Friday morning led to the seizure of firearms and drugs.
The accident occurred around 10 a.m. in the 4400 block of 11th Street West when a car collided with a pick up in the eastbound lane.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The driver of the car suffered a minor injury and refused treatement. Responding officers believed he showed signs of impairment and the vehicle was subsequently searched. Police seized approximately $4700 in cash, 3.7 grams of crack cocaine, 4 grams of methamphetamine, a 3D printed handgun, a replica revolver and a bulletproof vest.
A 36-year-old man is now facing charges including Refusing a Breath Demand; Impaired Driving (by drug); Possession of Cocaine; Possession of Methamphetamine as well as six firearm related charges.
