A man was arrested over the weekend after Saskatoon police responded to firearms complaint in the Hudson Bay Park neighbourhood.

Around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday officers responded to the 1100 block of Tiffin Crescent. They had received a report that a man was inside a home armed with a firearm and making threatening comments.

Police officers contained the residence, and at approximately 5:15 p.m., the man exited the home was taken into custody. A search of the premises located a firearm and ammunition.

A 57-year-old man is charged with Unauthorized Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.
