Kindersley, Rosetown, Biggar, Wilkie, Macklin and areas south of that going border to border in Saskatchewan, including Regina, are still under a special air quality statement due to wildfire smoke.
Widespread wildfire smoke continues to cause elevated Air Quality Health Index values and reduced visibilities in many areas. Gradual improvement is expected in most areas Tuesday into Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure builds in from the west.
There are 430 wildfires burning in British Columbia, there are 241 burning in the Northwest Territories, 81 active wildfires in Alberta and 20 in Saskatchewan with none in this province considered out of control.
