A KidSport Saskatoon pancake breakfast Thursday morning will help to ensure that no kid is ever left watching from the sideline of whatever sport they would like to take part in. Spokesperson Daphne Van Den Hurk says with the rising cost of living, they are seeing more applicants than previous years.
She explains that KidSport provides up to $500 per child per year for registration fees for 5 to 18 years old, so they can play a season of whatever sport they choose. For those who are outside of Saskatoon, you can contact the KidSport provincial office to find your nearest chapter or get support through the provincial fund.
KidSport Saskatoon’s first annual breakfast last year was a big success, raising $20,000, so they decided to make it an annual thing to help kids get into the game.
It is Thursday morning from 7 to 10:30 at Nasser Plaza at River Landing. It’s $10 for the breakfast and there will also be a 50/50 draw.
