A person of interest in Saskatoon’s eighth homicide of 2023 has been located and arrested by the Saskatoon Police Service.
Thirty-three-year-old Cary Daniel Bluebell was located and arrested by the S-P-S Major Crime Section and subsequently charged with second degree murder in the August 29 death of Melissa Bear. Bluebell was arrested in Saskatoon on September 7 following a brief foot pursuit with police. Outstanding warrants unrelated to the homicide were also executed at the time of his arrest. He is expected to appear in court on Monday at 9 a.m.
