A shooting and an armed robbery attempt were two of the calls handled by officers on Friday evening.
Shortly after 8 o’clock, police were called to a residence in Stonebridge for a report of an injured person. A 43-year-old man with a gunshot wound was inside the residence on the 700 block of Sutter Crescent. He was taken to hospital with what are believed to be serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Police indicate the suspect and victim are believed to be known to each other.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Saskatoon Police.
At roughly the same time on Friday evening, officers responded to a call of an attempted armed robbery at a liquor store on the 900 block of 22nd Street West. The man fled before police arrived, but was arrested shortly after in the area of 25th Street and Avenue B North. A Saskatoon Police news release says the suspect was in possession of a bladed weapon.
