It has been 22 years since the 9/11 terror attacks, and just days ago New York City’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner positively identified two more victims. The names are being withheld at the request of the families, but of the 2,753 people killed at the World Trade Center, they are victims 1,648 and 49. Still, 1,104 victims at the site have yet to be identified. That’s forty per cent of the victims at the World Trade Center. 9/11 claimed nearly 3,000 lives.
Memorials are planned for the World Trade Center site, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. U.S. President Joe Biden is attending a ceremony at a military base in Alaska.
