Four suspicious fires from Thursday morning are being investigated by Saskatoon Police. The first call came in to the Saskatoon Fire Department at 2:57 a.m about a fire in the 100 block of Stonebridge Boulevard. Mulltiple gas pumps and the canopy over the pumps were ablaze. The Co-op Gas Bar is located in the area. A release from the Fire Department says it was brought under control and the Fire Investigator estimates the suspicious fire caused $40,000 damage.
A few blocks away at 3:51 a.m., there was a fire in the 3000 block of Clarence Avenue South contained to a metal bin for discarded material. The third fire at 3:59 a.m.was again a few blocks away in the 100 block of Cope Crescent, contained to a small waste disposal bin and the fourth suspicious fire was at 7:22 a.m. The caller reported a fire that had been extinguished in the 3000 block of Clarence Avenue South, but at a separate address than the second fire of the morning. Fire crews found multiple waste disposal bins that had been on fire. Anyone with information or evidence related to these incidents is asked to call the Saskatoon Police.
