The last time the Huskies Football team lost at home was all the way back in 2018. In that time they won 19 games in a row at Griffiths Stadium, making every opponents goal that comes to the bridge city. Beat the Huskies on their home turf. It seemed like an impossible goal, but the Golden Bears finally put an end to the Dogs streak at home.

Alberta quickly jumped out to a very comfortable 20-0 lead in the first half, putting up 10 points in each of the first two quarters with Dakota McKay hauling in a 6 yard pass from Quarterback Eli Hetlinger. Hetlinger would rush in the next major to extend the lead to 20. The Golden Bears defense put on the quite the display holding down the Huskies offence, with the Dogs first major of the game coming of a Golden Bears turnover resulting in a Pick 6 for Finn Marcotte. Alberta would turn the ball over once again resulting in a one play drive where Anton Amundrud connected with Everett Iverson to cut the lead down to 6 heading into the second half.
The second half didn’t result in much for the Huskies offensively, with 5 out of their 8 points scored coming off safety’s and rouge points. Alberta would add a field goal in the fourth after an earlier attempt bounced off the upright. Alberta would eventually run out the clock sealing the game at 26-22, extending their record to a perfect 3-and-0 while the Huskies drop to 2-and-1.
