Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, with the assistance of the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, have identified human remains located near a forested area southeast of North Battleford last week as 20-year-old Nitanas Scarlett.

She had last been seen on the 900 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford the afternoon of July 4. Scarlett was reported missing to Battlefords on August 7. The human remains were found September 11.

Investigators have determined that Nitanas Scralett’s death is suspicious in nature and are asking anyone with information as to her death or her whereabouts in and around July of this year to contact Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes or submit anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
