The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a suspected structure fire in the RM of Corman Park Wednesday evening.
At 7:36pm, the SFD was called to an industrial park along Highway 16 just past 71st Street which appeared to be in flames.
Crews arriving on scene reported smoke and flames at the rear of the building. Crews targeted a pile of burning material behind the building, and the fire was brought under control at 7:56pm. Members of the SFD say the fire had not entered the building, and no fire extension was discovered.
The fire was declared extinguished at 8:41pm. Because the fire was located in Corman Park, a Saskatoon Fire Investigator did not attend the scene.
No injuries were sustained in the fire, and damage estimates are unknown.
