A news release from the BC RCMP reports that officer has been killed and the suspect and two other officers are in hospital with serious injuries. Ridge Meadows RCMP were executing a search warrant in Coquitlam and it’s alleged there was an altercation with a man which resulted in multiple officers being injured and the man being shot. One of the officers was shot and succumbed to their injuries.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been deployed to conduct the investigation into the officer’s death and the injuries to the other officers while the Independent Investigations Office of British Columbia will investigate the actions of police.
