Any admissions made by Greg Fertuck as part of a police Mr. Big Sting are admissible at trial. Justice Richard Danyliuk announced that decision today (Fri) in Saskatoon Court of King’s Bench. A Mr. Big Sting is when undercover police pose as criminals and befriend a suspect, trying to elicit a confession.
Fertuck’s wife Sheree went missing in 2015, and although her body has never been found, her truck, keys, coat and cell phone were located at a local gravel pit near Kenaston. Greg Fertuck was charged in June of 2019.
There were trial delays and now over four years after he was arrested, his court case with the charges of first degree murder and indignity to human remains continue. Earlier this year, Fertuck fired his lawyers and chose to represent himself. The case is back in court on October 4th.
