Four Regina-based executives combined to raise over $550,000 for STARS on Thursday.
James O’Rourke – President and CEO of the Mosaic Company, Chris Mansuy of South Country Equipment, Chad Davidge – Brandt’s Vice-President of AG Operations for Northern Saskatchewan and BASF’s Head of Seeds, Brent Collins, participated in the eighth annual STARS Rescue on the Prairie. The four, each accompanied by a STARS crew partner, were airlifted by helicopter to a remote location northwest of Regina on Thursday morning. In order to secure their rescue, they needed to each raise at least $50,000 by using their mobile phones and personal networks. In addition, they took part in a series of challenges with winners receiving sponsored cash donations that went towards their individual fundraising totals. Rescue on the Prairie has raised more than $3 million over the last eight years towards STARS annual operating budget, estimated to be $21 million per year.
