Saskatoon Police got a call on Wednesday afternoon around 3 p.m. about a man with weapons in the 400 block of Avenue U South.

The Guns and Gangs Unit assisted Patrol officers in making the arrest. The suspect was reportedly walking down the street in possession of two loaded sawed-off firearms, a large, bladed weapon and about 116 grams of suspected fentanyl.

The 28-year-old’s charges include two counts each of unauthorized possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, carrying a weapon dangerous to public peace and unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon and three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
