Saskatoon Police say one woman was taken to hospital after getting hit by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of 24th Street East and 3rd Avenue North.

Police say a 42-year-old woman had suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was taken to hospital by paramedics as a precaution.

The driver of the vehicle was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
