There are sparse details on the incidents which spurred charges against a Prince Albert Police officer however, the Public Complaints Commission says the officer was charged with three counts of simple assault.
According to a news release from PCC, the charges stem from two incidents in July 2022. The member who joined the force in January 2019 has been reassigned to administrative duties during the court proceedings.
The Prince Albert Police Service also issued a news release on the matter which identified the officer in question as Constable Dillon Husky. One assault charge is related to a July 1 incident while two others are connected to an incident July 16.
Constable Husky is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on October 26.
