For a second straight game in Alberta, the Saskatoon Blades were involved in a first for the opposition – but not a good one this time!
The Calgary Hitmen recorded their first win in four tries in the young W-H-L season Sunday, slipping past the visiting Bridge City Bunch 3-2. A night earlier, the Blue and Gold handed the Tigers their first loss of the season in Medicine Hat. On Sunday, Oliver Tulk’s first goal of the season, on a 4-on-3 power play, with 3:31 left in the third period gave Calgary their first chance to celebrate a result this season. The goal was also the first on the man advantage this season for the Hitmen, who out-shot the Blades 33-29. Lukas Hansen and Jordan Keller tallied for Saskatoon, now 2-2-0 for the campaign. The Bridge City Bunch will try to get back to winning ways Wednesday when they welcome the Edmonton Oil Kings to SaskTel Centre at 7 p.m. Following is the audio highlights from CJWW’s broadcast plus the official game summary courtesy the W-H-L…..
