Six more Saskatchewan residents have been invested with the province’s highest honour.
The Saskatchewan Order of Merit was established in 1985 to recognize citizens in areas like the arts, agriculture, business and industry, community leadership, research and volunteer service.
Four of the six are from Saskatoon – Al Anderson, Nora Cummings, Pierre Hucl and Don Meikle.
Neil Hardy is from Hudson Bay and Jaqueline Tisher is from Regina.
Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty says the dedication of these six has helped Saskatchewan to grow into what it is today.
Nominations are now open for next year’s Order of Merit with the deadline November 30th.
